The interaction between wildland fires and severe drought has a greater impact on tropical forests, causing changes in vegetation structure and hindering its regeneration. This study aimed to determine the impact of fires and severe droughts on phonological cycle of an Indigenous Land in the Amazon Forest, using satellite data to analyze the burn severity (dNBR), derived from MODIS and OLI sensors, vegetation index (EVI), derived from MODIS sensor, and rainfall, derived from TRMM satellite. The results showed the possibility of quantification of burn severity from MODIS data, although the correlation between MODIS and OLI data was higher for the individual dates than for the seasonal difference. More than 30% of the Indigenous Park was burned with moderate or high severity. The phonological pattern for the different types of severity indicates a fire of lower severity in 2007, where the vegetation spent about 3 years to return to the mean value of EVI, and a high severity fire in 2015. In the four previous years, rainfall below the historical average was observed, this factor may be a determinant of the greater severity of fires in this year. The burned areas with high severity presented an average decrease of 34% in the EVI, while the unburned areas showed an average decrease of 7%. These results demonstrated that the interaction between wildland fires and severe droughts are more related to the decrease in EVI.
